Been out of the game for a long time, a little back storey. My car is a vert, full suspension, mini tubbed, narrowed 8.8 with 9" ends, was manual brakes and steering. I pulled it apart to put a proper cage, new high comp engine 88 turbo, TH 400 but then didn't have the heart to cut up the car more and its now sat for 8 years while I played with my corvette. Recently broke my leg and have sometime, Would like to put it back together into street trim with power steering and brakes, maybe upgrade the cage from a Molly 6 point to 10 and stick my aluminator back in with the T-56 for now. I had done a ported Shelby blower with a cog drive to see how fast I could go with the Eaton. It made one pass 6.80 1/8 and 10.66 in the quarter. Turned it up and went 6.70 but kept braking blower parts before the 1/8 on the 1-2 or 3-4 shift. either the shaft or the cog belt would shred. Long and short I don't want to use the blower anymore. Been looking at F1A and F1C Prochargers. I want to stick the car back together but I really don't have the time to open up the motor and up grade the pistons ect. Also think i want to stick the hydro boost back in and my power rack. I have skinny's and slicks but I could do one hell of a 19/20 combo with the mini tub and narrowed 8.8 for the street/cruise Was looking at pro-chargers, either F1A or F1C but after looking I don't see any fast pro charged stick cars? Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Not looking for a highway pull I'm taking 1/4 and drag racing. Maybe I would be best to go turbo? Maybe do smaller turbos now and upgrade over the winter when I can open up the motor and put some higher compression pistons in. I have tried to catch my self up for days but it's been alot of reading lol I have found a set of Nelson racing 60's brand new, also some GT35R's Car was 2950. I'm guessing after the hydro boost ect it's going to be at least 3050 or 3100lbs. I know I'll need to do a gear change but I would like to get it back out and break into the 9's
