I know that the GT500 heat exchanger is a common upgrade for heat exchangers. But what about a radiator that fits behind the crash bar and extends up behind the grille emblem?

I have seen J2 Fabrications heat exchanger but it doesn't appear to be on the market and is also expensive.

I'm pretty sure someone on here ran a radiator from a small VW as a heat exchanger. I don't remember which model it was from though. He was one of the road race guys.

I've thought about something similar but it didn't quite fit

Gord ford was going to make me a sick heat exchanger setup. I spoke to gord often on the phone. Going back and fourth and at times never getting calls back, I just gave up. Hope he is ok.

2nd for the department of boost heat exchanger. Their units have good results and they make a crash bar setup to go with it.

The only thing I don't want to run is an aftermarket crash bar
You have about 4 inches from the crash bar to the AC condenser. About 13 inches from the bottom of the core support to the top of the crash bar. 31 inches between the crash bar mounts.

The stock ZL1 I already suggested fits in that space. So do the thicker aftermarket ones. There are others out there as well.

When was the last time you spoke to him? I bought a heat exchanger from him on March 13th of this year. He shipped it to me without payment and when I try to call or email him, I get no response and I can't find his website anymore. I call, text, email, etc. and he just vanished. I feel bad because he shipped it and it's sitting here and I want to pay him.

Last I spoke to him, he said that he had to get surgery done and I never heard from him again. I really want to pay him for it because it was expensive but I can't get in contact with him to pay him for the exchanger. I was thinking of Paypal'ing him but he has two email addresses and I don't want to send payment to the wrong one.

While I was typing this, I left him another message telling him I hope he's OK and to please sent me payment info so I can pay him ASAP.

I wonder if running the ZL1 aux coolers also would be beneficial to keep iat temp down.

The question is where would you put them to make sure they have proper air flow?

I think it's best to install a better heat exchanger and properly vent the hood.

By properly I mean installing something like race louvers. At an absolute MINIMUM I would install something with a wicker.

That's true I dunno if the holes near the fog lights would give enough air to make it worthwhile. Hoping the mach shaker hole will help with getting the heat out but probably not because air would be being forced in.
