[QUOTE="7998, post: 16629216, member: 70541"] The wife and I went to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's WW2 show yesterday. What a thrill. I got to see my favorite airplane fly, the Corsair. The pilot really put it through it's paces and demonstrated why the Japs called it whistling death. Also there were Japanese planes including 1 of 4 Zero's that are in flying condition. The Zero pilot showed why these were so deadly when doing his take off by using 1/4th of the runway the rest of the planes needed and going into a very steep climb. There was also a rare P63 King Cobra which is 1 of 5 still airworthy. The sound of those engines were amazing. Other planes of note that were flying: P-51's TBM Avenger SBD-5 Dauntless Aichi "Val" Nakajima "Kate" B-29 Superfortress B-17 Flying Fortress B-25 Mitchell's F4F Wildcat.
