I just installed a 2.6 upper, idler setup, jlt CAI, plugs, sct tune by evolution and some suspension componets, alum. DS, safty loop, etc.. The kit I got from evo came with 4.30 gears. I do not drive the car very much and have a set of 30" tall nitto drag radials for it. Do you think 4.30 are to much? what would you go with.

Thanks

In keeping with this thread, i.e., information regarding gear changes; does anyone have specific info regarding the GT500 pinion bearing: a part number, source of supply, and price. Current information is that to obtain the GT500 pinion bearing one must order the complete rear axel assembly. This seems extreme for just the bearing.

I contacted Timken and obtained the p/n's for the GT500 pinion bearing
Cone p/n MP159221, Cup p/n MP254157, tail position M88048 and cup M88010. MP bearing can be replaced by removing cup spacer and using bearing M802048 and cup M802011, these are direct replacements.
