BigGib, Welcome to the forums, neighbor! :) The blanket is held in place by large (approx. 1" dia.) plastic pushpins. These things can be tough to pull out. You should use a proper pin removal tool (they're inexpensive and very handy) and because you are prying the pin out, it is recommended to use a piece of wood (may been several of different sizes to fit between the bracing) against the hood to protect the thin metal from deforming. Take your time and don't force anything - unless you have a PDR wizard in the family. Be advised that the insulating blanket is still on my hood and has never been removed from the car. My experience with hood blankets goes back to a couple of previous vehicles where the blankets needed some cleaning up (and there were leaves and stuff on the top side of the blankets). I used pliers on the first bunch of plastic pins and wrestled out the plugs. Not elegant. And when if (when) the plug breaks then the pin part can remain in the bracing or it may fall out of an opening as you drive. The proper tool makes it easier :D. Here is a YT vid showing the generic steps: LINK Since you're local, what color is your RTR? Did you buy it locally? Modding plans? Please post up some pics of your new ride! HTH, Chris
