LOL. To the guys saying it doesn`t matter what bike you start out on. Go choke on a carrot. . That is like telling a 16 year old kid he can have a 500hp car, because if he had a 200hp car it would be the same thing. 1. Respect what you have. Don`t push it to its limits when ever given the chance. 2. Your FIRST bike. Like many above said, a 600cc is insane. Its power to weight ratio is rediculous, along with its top speed. It runs the quarter in 10s/11s. Your sitting on top of 2 wheels, and you think a high 10 second bike is slow? A 1000cc, isn`t that much? You must be smoking dust. 3. Go ride a 125 2 stroke dirtbike, then hop on a 250, then jump to a 450. Make sure there are alot of obstacles around you, and if you fall you maim, break, rip, tear, and split your body open. Tell me which one your more comfortable on. 4. Your buying your first car. You have never even drove a car before. You can`t decide between the 600hp, or the 800hp. The 600hp is more than enough, but the other car has 800. Which one should I get?! Get my drift? 5. Here`s a cookie for everyone that says it is all about how you ride it. I think that`s a given guys. My point is, what is the sense in buying a 1000cc bike if your too afraid, unable, and unsure on how to push it? +1 To the guy who said buy a used cheap bike. Beat it up, drop it, **** with it. You learn the best from an old bike that didn`t run you 12k. When you drop it you wont cry, and chances are you will. Want to wheelie? Learn in a parking lot on a $2500 bike, at 12am. Anyone who thinks they can handle anything that fast, especially their first time needs to stop watching movies. Hell most of the time riding/driving accidents are caused by the other person, lets not forget that fact.
