I've never done a 93 pump vs VP-O additive dyno comparison. That gets complicated. So instead I decided to honor my data logs and stay with a 1/2 bottle per 3/4 tank refill every summer weekend with room to play. I roll raced a Redeye (or Demon but not the HC logo) from 55mph last week.....the Shelby was out 1-1.5 cars twice ....I attribute that to each component of my set up which will always include VP-O or Torco ....I went home that day smiling ->) !

[QUOTE="Jam421, post: 16424012, member: 110985"] Was using VP Octanium as recommended by Lund for a year then found Torco unleaded and now VP-O also has unleaded. My data logs showed 1-2 degrees in timing increase from the higher octane in the tune. The ECU loves the extra VP-O over the 93 pump gas which likely balances out around 97-98 octane. With the additive the car literally JUMPS and I feel every bit of that in the performance on the butt dyno. Lund explained the difference as it was tune related ...ability to kick up timing with better fuel. Not sure if it's the tune specifics or just the ECU McLuvin the extra octane. No matter. My mix is one 32ounce bottle for the first summer gas tank fill ....after burning off the winter gas. The around 1/4 tank I add 1/2 bottle . To me it's well worth the minimal effort at the pump and the extra $10 weekend cost which equals only a few hundred per season. My spark plugs are orange but two Mustang Race shops noted that means nothing except being an indicator of octane booster. On the VP-O the motor pulled 716rwhp / 680 tq thru 4.10 gears on a dynonometer and with same set up 10 days later pulled 658rwhp/ 596 on a Mustang Dyno. This season I tried some fresh highway pulls on 93 pump gas at 60 degrees. It was the first summer tank of fresh fuel. Then I added a bottle of VP-O and ..WOW! 60 degrees made the car pull harder than 80+ degrees. But my research disclosed octane increase does NOT rely upon temps to make more power.
