Progress Once I got all the excess wire out I cleaned the metal and started reassembling the interior without the white painted pieces. It looks so much better back to stock. I also pulled the Saleen 2-point brace out, chopped the tabs for the harness bar off and powder coated it black. A little velcro to protect the brace from the belt clip Found this cool mirror tag for sale I got lucky and bought a whole new set of headlights from Ford before they went NLA. Also got lucky on a trunk cargo net and passenger fender liner from Ford before going NLA. Restored the intake plate and mounted it to the freshly coated upper Then the process of putting it all back started. Restored fuel rail and new crossover tubing Big fan of these Powergrip clamps from Gates. Yes, I replaced the broken timing pointer with a new Ford piece. Here it is back together about to start for the first time since January on a startup tune I wrote (first time working with a QH). That MAF unit was tough to find at a not ridiculous price, again I got lucky and found it in a 3-4 year old FS thread on corral The start up went well enough, I was able to set the idle at 800, fill the coolant, set the fuel pressure and confirm the fan comes on after rebuilding the fan harness that was cut for some reason. I’ve got a very lean idle at 18:1 that I’ve got to fix before the first drive. I was able to get the AF down enough to stop the pinging and pull it out for a wash It wasn’t optioned with the heat extractor hood originally but the PO was able to locate this one with some paint issues. That brings it up to the current state, I’ve got an appt for tuning next week then I should be driving. Once that is done the only things left to do is the exhaust. Currently the car has longtubes that hang way too low and aren’t original so they are coming out for a set of OE shorty headers and some sort of stainless x-pipe and the Borla catback I have waiting. I’m planning on re-making the Saleen machine gun tips for the catback as well since they are no longer available. Redoing the rear bumper fabric covering
