I used to sell quite a bit on eBay many years ago... like I’m talking 1998... when eBay was a true auction type of environment and not the shithole commercial mockery it is today. I’ve been a member since and have well over 1k+ positive feedbacks on there, just don’t sell as much anymore. Hell, you’re lucky if you can even get the correct returned results on there anymore due to all of the CRAP that is being sold on there by sellers who put any keys words into their listings or titles that don’t even apply to what they are selling (junk). I used to go to local auctions, buy up interesting lots and then resell on eBay and made good coin doing it. After the original owners of eBay cashed out and PayPal became HUGE, eBay essentially went south. When they started allowing ANYTHING to be sold on there and in ANY type of selling format BESIDES the original auction format, the site literally lost tons of Sellers. Not to mention gouging Sellers for ANY type of damn fee they can nail the Seller with OR try to restrict the Seller in what he/she can or cannot sell, or what’s applicable by eBay rules or not. Crypes, I’m surprised there isn’t a damn fee just for looking up items on that site anymore. Hell, when those Hatchimals were the hottest toy a couple of years ago, we were selling those POS’s for 3-4x their retail value. Then all of the sudden, eBay throws a restriction onto Sellers limiting total quantity they could list for sale per day. THAT was ridiculous and the reason being is because Major Retailers and Big Box stores belong to eBay and sell there too... so those Sellers were getting bent that Consumers were buying at retail depleting their own inventories, holding product from being sold and then turning around and selling for 3-8x the retail value on eBay. IMO, if I have 1, or freaking 2,000 of some item, hot toy, or parts - then I should be the one determining my mark up and how many I’ll sell or list. Besides, eBay was making bank as well by the listing fees, any add on fees and final value fees... so they should not have limited sellers at all - but because Corporate Entities had a say, eBay caved. —— Making $200k a MONTH? I don’t care what segment you’re in, but more so, I’d just like to know how? Do you sell via drop shipments so you never see or touch the products?
