Shifter or linkage rattle/ticking?

Sooo about 100 miles on my car, and under part throttle in basically 1-4 I hear a ticking sound. I can feel vibration in the shift knob but I cannot tell if its valve noise or if its the trans/linkage.. it stops at higher rpms but around 2000 it does it.


I am not familiar with the different sounds a mustang makes. I knew my EVO from front to back and knew every tick to every clunk.


Is this normal?

Mine has a rattle at 3000 rpm's 1 2 3 first sound like spark knock and I was really worried then figured out from the clutch or bearing.It's at the dealer for paint issues and scratch on back seat then they will check out the sound in drive train. I'll keep up date coming.
