MY daughter has an 89 SHO which had the factory clutch replaced at 70k by a Ford dealer with no problems. At 1ook my son in law replaced it again. Now at 110k the clutch will not disengage when you push down the pedal. A local mechanic says it needs another new clutch?????? I thought a clutch started slipping when worn out not staying engaged. Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks.

More than likley hopefully Ford put in the 9 3/4" clutch when the replaced it. I would find that out. If it still has the weak 9 1/4" your gonna need to go to the bigger one. 9 1/4" don't like the spirited driving that normal SHO drivers like. Also the TB is another weak link in the clutch.
