SHO MODS

I am thinking of buying my buddy's 99 SHO. It has 39,000 miles on it and he is going to give it away. He only wants $9000 for it.

So tell me, for $3000 or $4000 what are the best mods to garner performance, meaning HP, 0-60 and Quarter mile times.

I m used to driving my Lightning around, so I need something that has some balls.

thats a great price I dont think Id sell mine for 9gs.
I only have a k&n on mine and its pretty fast...
the stuff for it is really expensive. Id rather put more stuff on the L, but if you buy stuff for it let me know if its worth the $$$$

cool you should also try lookiing on the shofourm for some stuff
another thing you might want to get some new cams theres a v8 cam problem they seem to break and then your engine can get all mesed up and that wont be cheap

Once again thanks for the info, went to a few sites and read up on the four major problems with the Gen 2 SHO's.

This car is mint with low miles, so it is a steal.

Just got to decide whether it is this and mod or wait a few months and go german. Hummm.....

check out V8sho.com I don't know if you could even spend 3-4k on the Gen III SHO in performance mods. Not much out there. SHO Shop was working on a blower setup for them, but havn'et really heard much about it.

Also, if you really get it to move give doug lewis a call in Douglasville, GA.....he is the SHOGOD!! Took my car to him, and he builds'em fast
