[QUOTE="Talleywacker, post: 16142476, member: 18068"] I'm 36 and finally buying my first SVT. Shortly after I turned 24 I bought a house and had 4 kids and I've spent the past 12 years devoted to being a dad/husband. Got married and bought a house within the same month that was a fixer upper and 3 days before our 1st anniversary my daughter was born. Needless to say I've balanced home repairs, kids, vacationing etc up till now. I've been seriously looking at either a fox coupe or a terminator for the past two years however the drawback is my garage was in despair. Falling apart siding and a bare stud interior. I could never justify moving in a nice mustang without correcting this. Last summer I resided the back and two sides with Hardie and painted. Work slammed me hard and I ended up working over 3,000 hours last year so I wasn't able to do much. Well In this time frame my uncle is an original owner of a 03 Redfire w/ 11k miles. The car has barely seen the street and almost all the miles have been on a road course where it was trailed to/from for weekend racing. Late last year he told me that he had zero interest in selling but if I was interested he would sell the car to me. Without discussing pricing I told him I would. Flash forward to a few weeks ago we finally hashed out the pricing and I've finally agreed to buy. The car is in Indiana and I am in Texas so I won't actually have the car until I schedule an enclosed transport. I will be scheduling this at a time when I can complete the inside of my garage. I travel there every year to visit in June so sometime between May/June I'll have the car in my possession. Until then I'll be happily completing the garage :) Here is the car and I typed out the mods the car has as he could remember over the phone. Unfortunately the car needs a paint job due to the track sessions but outside of that it was built to handle any kind of road racing it could be thrown at it. He's replaced all the bushings, uv joints, ball joints, wheel hubs 3 times in 11k miles and every weekend of racing would get fresh amsoil in the engine, trans and IRS with replacement after the event. I'll be reworking the suspension to bring it to a more of a street capable car with occasional turns and strip use. I want an overall great performing car for anything that gets thrown at it.
