Replaced the fox this weekend with a new-to-me project. I took a right turn at Albuquerque as this is out my norm. I've been coming down with a Cold/Flu since Thursday afternoon so i've had a lot of browsing time on craigslist/FB marketplace. I told the old man I was in the market, so he was thoroughly browsing as well. Turns out not so many folks sell cars around the holidays, and they don't sell very many projects either. But this popped up Saturday morning as a new post, went to look at it saturday afternoon, brought it home Sunday. It's a true 64.5' Coupe 289 C4. Not numbers matching (I don't care). Very solid car. Needs a front drivers floor pan, some patch work on the outer door skins, minor patches here and there, but otherwise it's rock solid. Very hard to find this clean/solid. Even the normally rotted out cowl panels are perfect. It was restored by a father/son about 20 years ago, then the son took it with him, moved it around, let it sit for 8 years, and his wife made him give it the boot. I bought it as it sits, but I have every nut bolt washer and hardware in bags tagged with locations. Basically I have the entire car in a bag/box. It also included a brand new summit full disc brake conversion with power brake BNIB. And it runs. Not sure what my plans are for the car yet. Taking suggestions. I could trash the 289/c4 combo, throw in something modern, and roll on. Or throw a T5 behind the 289, cam/intake/headers to wake it up, and get it going. It's really a blank canvas.
