when trying to balance out the clutch and go in first gear the gas pedal is sort of hard to push down...almost like it's sticky, then it goes in. I looked under the hood and where you revv the engine, that Grey Plastic thingy broke off of the shaft. Could this be the problem? The car ran fine and everything even with that thing off. How much does that plastic thing cost to replace? anyone have any experiences with their throttle cable plastic grey thing break off due to heat?

another question .. do you have an accufab TB? This is a known issue with the single blade TBs ... Mine does it some .. I adjusted the stop (per Accufab) ..

thanks,

My '02 GT has the same issue with the gas pedal - difficult to get started (sticky), then ok once it's going. I have a 75mm BBK TB, but pulling the cable from under the hood doesn't feel sticky at all, only when pressing on the pedal.

Any thoughts, anyone? I'd rather not adjust the TB stop if I don't have to - it idles just fine as it is.
