I'll be taking delivered of a 2014 ruby red, got a good deal and got good trade in money. Any advice on what to look out for or what first mods are a must is really appreciated.

She's currently at San Antonio hopefully she makes it to South Texas tomorrow

Thanks!

Congrats! Most do the usual CAI, exhaust, tuner thing. Mid perch is popular. But it is yours, make it like you want based on what you expect to do with it.

Check out FRF, a lot of good information there.

Here is what I found: coming from another Ford 6.2L truck, this one was very slow, sluggish, quiet, and just feeling like a lead weight. From my searching, I found the CAI is worth nothing and you should use a high flow panel filter. The drivability problems were corrected with an SVC tune and it retains it's adjusting parameters based on what octane you use. The exhaust was corrected by cutting off the muffler and resonator. Then, a Magnaflow magnapack was welded in place with a single in dual out adapter to connect the factory tailpipes. 100% better... The truck is all fixed now, AND delivers 17mpg around town now!
