Louder than balls, lowered on big yet kinda skinny wheels, black everything with a sizeable hood scoop... When I saw the front, I naturally looked for an SRT-8 badge in the grille, but instead saw the infamous red R/T. However, once I got into traffic behind him, it had another badge on the top right of the spoiler that I initially expected to say SRT, but said Mopar 10. At this point, I had absolutely no idea what I was dealing with. So, since we're headed in the same direction, I stick with him. Passed a minivan during my half-assed pursuit; the driver yelled out the window as I passed "Go get him!" ha Made me laugh. Anyway, we end up side by side at a light, him solo, me with a passenger. As I gave his car a respectful once over, I spotted A-pillar gauges, adding to my curiosity. Driver doesn't even glance over to BS or smile or wink or give me the finger. Cold as ice. Consequently, I didn't know for sure if anything was going to happen once the light turned green and nobody wants to be that guy who takes off like an idiot all by himself. So, light turns green, neither of us hits it, but he does shoot out maybe a car ahead of me. Then, just as I'm about ready to ease her into second, he spontaneously hammers it. I join him, but my lack of finesse causes me to waste the tires through first (4.10's hate me) and get a little sideways before hitting second which, by that time, put him a solid 4+ cars out on me. Once I make it into third and I see that I'm not passing him, I realize that there must be something to that special badge on the rear of his car which, by the way, is very, very slowly becoming more visible. We/I ran up to about 135 before letting out with me probably 2 cars back and creeping on him. I gave him a wave and thumbs up before turning off and running home so I could look that thing up online. ha Turns out, the Mopar 10 is some special version. S/C @ 8.5lbs among other bolt-on's making 540hp and 600tq which would explain my struggle. If you do the math, he and I should make pretty close to the same rwhp. How he hooked and went on those relatively skinny street tires boggles my mind. Regardless, a loss is a loss. Hats off to the guy for a tough run.

Save everyone some time:http://http://www.topspeed.com/cars/dodge/2012-dodge-challenger-mopar-10-by-superior-auto-design-ar130535.html
Had a frustrating run with a Challenger "R/T." I was pulling out of a parking lot when I first spotted the car. I actually think I heard it long before I saw it.
