Do you have a PCM we did like 3+ years ago? Nothing that has left here since then has had a P1400. I don't want to get into the morals of the warranty thing, if you add boost and break something, its your problem, but if you need to adjust tire size or want to firm up the shifting a little it shouldn't trigger an automatic red flag, which is why we do not. If you have a PCM we did years ago it will have the code. Not a single Trackhawk with our PCM has the code as they didn't exist until we had made that problem go away. No P1400 on our Redeye, the 16 HC in the parking lot, my 17 SP, our 19 JL, 19 Ram, or any of the 1000s of PCMs we have sent out in the past few years to customers in the field. If the guys selling parts and making 900+ whp with their tunes and packages are properly telling you there s a chance of a code or a warranty issue up front, that makes me feel good. Its a different ball game when doing a serious build that requires tuning vs a simple tune only or bolt on tune that shouldn't be a warranty issue. But Tim doesn't write any code, he tunes cars :) He may not know or care that our PCMs haven't had the code for years as anything coming across his PC is likely not a candidate for any warranty work. He also uses our competitors stuff occasionally, so he may be making blank statements about the codes potential. I'm not looking to sell anything here, just inform. If you have data that says otherwise, I am all ears. Thanks
