Do the guys with 373's wish they had longer gears? Or do the guys with 331's wish they had shorter ones?

I'm super happy with the 3.31 and I'm keeping them.
I don't spin a whole lot from a 1st gear roll.. (I'm on stock tires still) and the top end is nice.

I have 3.55's and there are times I wish my gears were a little longer. I also don't drive around on dr's but on my 285's in 1st and 2nd are useless and 3rd goes but it leaves solid black marks if I floor it

I have 3.73's with my Procharger. With the centri blower you want the lower gears to help wind the car up faster.

My Vortech'd 2003 GT has 3.73's and I am not happy with them.

My Whipple'd 2011 GT has 3.73's and I am extremely not happy with them.

I've never really bought in to the insane gearing that many people freak out about. Shifting every 0.5 microseconds just doesn't make much sense to me...

Anyhow, I have now gotten in to open tracking the 2011 and that's more so a reason for me to dislike the 3.73's. I'm planning to switch to 3.55's soon.

I have 3.31s and plan on running a 305/45r18 in the back and keeping it that way. I figure I have plenty of top speed in 4th and less shifting. We shall see how it does...

I liked my 3.73 with a centri. Plenty of gear to get you in boost. Im on 325 m/ts with full solid rear arms so traction wasn't so bad if the weather was nice and tires hot.

Now shift damn near the 60' sucked. But made for some nice wheel yanks and good 60' when it was hooking up.

It's all depends on what u want, more dd 3.55 are prolly better. Aggressive street/track car I'd stick with 3.73.

But a built full manual Auto and 4.10s are going into mine now. Lol So it's pretty much a track car.

373s on my Edlebrock. Tons of torque down low so I usually skip gears while still having a lot of acceleration. On the highway at 80 I went to pass someone yesterday and I accidentally went from 80 to 100. Lots of pick-me-up everywhere with this setup.

Youll want 3.73s. 331 will be hell on a clutch once you make some power

Can you elaborate on this a little bit more. This is the first time i have heard this.

Seems like you would want 331's. Idk if 355's are gonna be much different.

3.31 on roush tvs and not changing.

This is what i was thinking. I hear so many guys saying how the car has so much power that 1st and 2nd are useless. I would think the 331's and boost would be a great setup with more control.

3.73 with a KB and i want a 3.55 or 3.31 for traction
Yeah man looks like you have a good amount of power going to the wheels. Are you gonna switch? If so update us in the thread. Id like to know how much more control you have over 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear.
