Thoughts on buying a “bridge car”?

My closest Porsche dealer is 2.5hrs away as of now. A local Porsche dealership has been announced for Des Moines but it is probably 1.5-2yrs from being completed.

Why do you need a close by dealer?

Used or new? AWD would be a good consideration to extend the usability during the cold months. GT-R would be fun, maybe an Audi RS3 or RS5. Used R8 would be a cool toy. GT350 for a rwd option.

Exactly, its Porsche, better reliability than any other German lux make… and buying used, so the dealer is the least place I would take it…

Personal preference. I don’t Want to have it to ship it back and forth for service. We will have a P Car dealership in two years. At that time It will be a more realistic option.

I can respect others don’t feel the same way.

Hadn’t thought of that. I have heard an older Jag F Type but not the SVR.

Followed one around a track in a 350R, Viper ACR, and Ferrari 458.
I actually think the SVR sounded the best.

I would just get a used R and save a truck load of money, still get that supercharged V8, just making a little less than the SVR.
