Throttle Bodies??

Need a little help here. I need to know what is the best throttle body for my 99 vert that is mostly stock - see signature.

What HP increase should I expect?

How difficult will it be to do myself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Don''t do it...

I would reccommend that you don't waste themoney on an after-market TB. Especially for $300 (BBK).

No Naturally Aspirated 99 Cobra that I know of has had any gains from the aftermarket TB. Only those with power adders have noticed increased performance.

If you have an aftermarket (or gutted stock) MAF...you already have plenty of air flowing into the intake and making teh TB bigger won't maek a bit of difference.

To add to the list of TB woes on a naturally aspirated cobra....several 99 & 01 cobra owners have experienced problems with cruise control, the development of a rough idle, and/or a repeating SES light. Corrcting these problems requires a chip.

BBK makes the best after-market TB out there...but I would reccommend getting a chip first....and evenm then, don't expect any benefits unless you have a power adder of some type.
