Hey fellas I hope you can help me out. Lately when I am at the track and heating up my DR's I seem to get sideways. I think it may be that the limited slip is going south but am not sure. the reason I am not sure is there still seems to be ruber on both sides of the car and on my tail pipes. Any particular reason the car would start to go left when I do my burn out? Should I try a line loc? It has gotten to the point that I seriously doubt I am heating the tires up enought to be effective. Average 60' is a 2.0x-2.1(well once I got a 1.97 )I know people on street radials getting those times. Any help or advise is appreciated.

Alex, I don't think that your sideways movement
has to do with your rear trac-loc. When you heat
the tires up and hold the brake you are also
using the rear brakes while your trying to spin them.
If you go to the track often get line loc, it frees up
the rear brakes for a better heat up! I hope this helps.
You will also need someone who knows how to install
line-loc on an ABS car, I believe some custom lines have to be added.

Thanks for the reply Peter. I tried a different approch last time. What I usually do is crank the RPM to about 4k Dump the clutch and softly hit the brake. That usually result in the rear going left. This passed time I dumped the clutch at 4K and let it sit and spin as long as it could and when i started to move forward tapped the brakes and I got a little more heat into them. Weird thing is it still went left when I had no break applied. I may start to look into a line loc. Anyone have a recomendation for a loc?

Alex, it could have just been the track conditions
on tha day, sometimes water from the waterbox
gets on the surface where you want to do your
burnout. I was looking into one and Hurst was
recomended to me and it is rebuildable.
