What kind of price do you think the dealer would give for 03,cobra low miles exc, shape. trade in value towards GT500? Book value about 24?

book is 24, then they will want to give you 21K tops.
Don't let them give you less than 24k for your car. An 04 cobra conv. sold for 35k where I'm from about 2 months ago. So your car is definetly worth more than 24k.

They will go to either NADA or Kelly Blue Book and value it from there. Now remember they take off for tires less than brand new. Rock chips, body damage, scratches and anything else they can find. Usually around here if the book value is 24k you might be lucky to walk out the door with 17.5k - 19k. They always find reasons to take it as low as they can. Also they do not go by trade-in but by loan value. That is the value the bank is willing to put into the car and not a penny more. Just pulled out the NADA book and the loan value for a 2003 Cobra is $19,575.00 here so I would bet our Ford dealers around here would not go a penny over it. With the dealers being able to get additional mark up on the GT500s they might give you more but I kinda doubt it. Just my .02 cents worth.

Since you can control the sale of your car...get the most you can for it to offset the upcharge on the other end.

My 03 Conv came in at $28,500, low miles on Convertible will net you the most when compared to a coupe. Only 5,082 Convertibles were made in 03. 8,394 coupes were made in 2003.

I did go to a honda dealer for just an idea, I told them I wanted the new accord and trade my car. The honda was about 25000, they offerd me 24000 for my car and he said that was because there is a small scratch on rear quarter that they would repaint otherwise 24500.
Naturally I did not go back but it did sound good if I wanted a honda
