Hi all.

My name's Fred and I live in France.
I'm trying to help a friend who's having trouble with his GT 500.

He bought a few months ago a Kenne Belle mamuth kit and went to a shop to install it.
But they've done an awful job and broke a part of the motor.
We built everything back, and now we are trying to tune it properly.
Sadly, we have a problem... Very often, when we go full throttle, we have "failsafe mod" and we can not run anymore.
We have to turn the ignition off, and everything goes back to normal...

Could anybody help us?
We don't know if the problem is the tune or mechanical.
I can send the tune if somebody's willing to help us... (we use HP Tuners)

We are kind of desperate now...
Thank you for your help and sorry for my english

Yes I've tried.
But they told me they can't help me because we havn't bought the kit directly to them.
They gave me the email of somebody who could help me, but I guess I spell it bad so the email adress is uncorrect... something like "[email protected]"..

Thank you.

what type of tuning devise does he have?

You can contact a reputable tuner, send them your datalogs, and they can make adjustments to your tune as needed.

I would just try and contact a tuner. Amazon does a good job and so does VMP, to name a few.

It sounds like there's a problem with the torque calculation. My understanding is that the computer does some kind of torque calcuation and if the level is too high it will put the car in fail safe or limp mode. Because you have a bigger blower and are pushing more air through the motor that calculation is above the factory safe levels. I'm sorry that I don't know how to adjust it. I've never tuned a GT500 or used HP. My suggestion would be to contact HP directly and tell them your issue.
