I just bought my car about a month ago. I had a new Stainless Works X-Pipe fall in my lap for a cheap price so i had to go for it. I am going to pick up a SCT tuner in a few weeks. My question is: Can i install the X-Pipe without it being tuned? Im not sure how it will affect the stock A/F Ratio.

You can, but it will kick a code on you if it doesn't have cats and you'll have a check engine light.

Its not an off road x-pipe, just a post-cat h-pipe direct bolt-on replacement. I shouldnt have lights if i leave stock cats.

Then your good to go, no tune required...but don't really expect a power increase - just sound. From what I read maybe 3hp at best. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats what I think. Power gains will be minimal since the cats are the restriction.
