I was told by a good buddy that works at a Ford dealership that there are two different GT500 rear spoilers but he wasn't sure what the difference is.

He said one of them had a part number of BR3Z-6344210-BA and ran $600.
The other one had a part number of AR3Z-6344210-BB and ran $300.

What is the difference between the two to justify the $300 difference.

My brief research wasn't very fruitful.

BA is without SVTPP

BB is with SVTPP

Weird, I thought they were the same too. I'll research some more.

BA (w/o SVTPP) is just a basic spoiler.

BB (w SVTPP) has a Gurney flap on the rear edge of the spoiler. If you don't know what a Gurney flap is, it's a small lip that sticks basically straight up and helps with downforce.

The BB is the same spoiler that was on all 2010 GT500s, so go check one out to see if the Gurney flap is worth the extra $300. It is functional, but I don't know if you'll use it. It depends on where/how you drive.

Thanks I thought they all had gurney flaps.

As for price, the SVTPP is actually the cheaper one.

there is the same thing right? just aftermarket and considerably cheaper.
3DCarbon GT500 Style Spoiler (10-12 All) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Looks like it's only about 30 bucks cheaper, and requires drilling new holes. Going by Tousley Ford prices, and assuming it comes with the gurney flap installed. Otherwise it's about 70 bucks cheaper.

OE Ford part uses the same holes as the regular GT wing(so I'm told) and it's going to be Factory quality.

The OE Ford part sounds better to me personally. All opinions of course.

Mine came with the gurney flap and it wasn't $600. Isn't the GT500 gurney flap adjustable??? If so that's the difference. Mine is 2 sided taped on.

My 3dcarbon spoiler was just fine. It was shipped color matched to my car.
