Type of wax on a sexy black 1995 5.0?

Hey guys, i have never waxed my car and i was wondering what is the best type of wax i should use? And what type of material should i use on the car. It has been painted before to, from maycoo, a shitty 400 dollar job. So if you guys have any suggestions i would be very thankful.

I've always used Mothers 3 stage waxes and every once in a while the clay bar. I think it does a great job. This pic ISN'T even in freshly waxed form. It was taken a couple days after a wash.
