This mod cleans and upgrades the clutch/brake fluid from DOT3 to DOT4 and improves, brake and clutch pedal feel, smoother shifts. Def worth the upgrade.
Here's the steps.
1) Gather up the following, DOT4 Synthetic brake fluid, turkey baster, towels, and a beer for your troubles. like below.
2) Pop the hood and locate the brake reservoir like below, driver side fire wall
3) Put a towel down covering anything with paint to ensure that no spills happen, if ANY BRAKE FLUID HITS YOUR PAINT, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY!!!
4) Begin sucking the fluid out little by little, make sure to hit every crevise of the reservoir
5) After its been sucked out begin filling it up, clean the cap off and tighten the cap back on the reservoir, and get into the car and begin pumping the brake 30 or so times and clutch pedal 15 times to ensure pressure is back
6) repeat step 5 till fluid is clean, below in the milk jug is 17000 mile fluid and then one next to it is 1 days change before changing over to DOT4
7) After doing this a few times its now time to take it for a spin. After starting the car again pump the brakes and clutch 30 or so times to ensure good pressure and let her rip down the street.
8) After returning happy and satisfied continue drinking beer and pat yourself on the back
