V6 Convertable Question

My daughter just purchased a 2001 V-6 vert and I was rotating the tires last weekend and noticed frame renforcement on it, is this standard on all vert mustangs?

Looks like the previous owner had oversized tires on it because the speedo is off, so I wasn't sure if they did other mods on it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the 99 and newer ragtops (could be earlier) have a factory version of "subframe connectors" on them just to stiffen the car up a bit.

I know the 4th gen Camaro and Firebird ragtops did this, and I want to say Ford followed suit with the newer Stangs. Someone with a ragtop know for sure??
