Guys I know this isn't about cars, but a new freaking virus infected corporate today and I got it too at work. Sent from someone I don't know with a attachment, bdg. I think the really weird thing was I got it in my account there, then it sent it to how many I don't know Without me even opening it or even having the e-mail open. This is news to me not even having my email open it sent to people, much less opening it. It shut down corporate for a while.

Ask and you shall recieve!

1. VIRUS NAME: Worm_Mimail.R

2. ALIAS: W32/Mydoom@MM, Mydoom, Win32.Mydoom.A, W32.Novarg.A@mm

3. THREAT LEVEL: LOW

4. VIRUS DESCRIPTION:

The mass-mailing worm will arrive as an attachment with a file
extension of .bat, .cmd, .exe, .pif, .scr, or .zip. This worm selects
from a list of email subjects, message bodies, and attachment file names.
It can also propagate using the Kazaa peer-to-peer file sharing
network.

It performs a denial of service (DoS) attack against the software
business site www.sco.com. It attacks the site if the system date is
February 1, 2004 or later. It ceases attacking the site and running most of
its routines on February 12, 2004.

When the machine gets infected, the worm will set up a backdoor into
the system by opening TCP ports 3127 thru 3198. This will potentially
allow a hacker to connect to the machine and utilize it as a proxy to gain
access to it's network resources. In addition, the backdoor has the ability
to download and execute arbitrary files.

I think that any one caught creating or sending a virus should be shot. Where do these creeps get off doing things like that. Get a life you loosers.

Might as well say the same as terrorists, so yea find 'em and shoot the suckers. Had 2 messages here at home this morning, went to the delete/delete. Bad enough I get junk mail.

One things for sure, my mail providers are on top of these things since I've yet to receive an email infected with viruses for some time now.
