The TVS is a great starter blower and maybe capable of great numbers. I'm just wondering what is the purpose of having a 2.8 or 2.9 blower if the 2.3 does the exact same thing but better. [QUOTE="dirtyo2000, post: 11671684, member: 106904"] So technically the 2.3 should be a lot faster than the 2.9 since it's making the same HP and more TQ. For some odd reason everytime I see a VMP TVS dyno chart the HP and TQ are about the same. So in theory if it's making 733rwhp and the TQ is over 700 the 2.9 just doesn't stand a chance in theory. I did a lot of research when I was in the market for my blower back in 2010. I give much respect to Van and Lund for their honest input. Although Van is a KB guy, and so is Lund they still took the time to explain in depth the differences. After many nights of reading and researching I came to the conclusion that I wanted the whipple. The looks were a big selling point and my brother offered a great deal on his 3.4 since he was moving up to the 4.0 in 11. I did some research on the TVS and talked briefly to the seller who I think I was bothering since he was busy and only stated the TVS was the best out of all 3. When it came time for the results, I couldn't be happier with the Whipple. The KB woud gave the same results, maybe a little higher according to some. I didn't want to nocth the hood or remove the liner from what I read, besides the KB just didn't look like it belong there to me. Again my opinon but performance I can't knock it at all. When I started reading about the efficiency of the blowers I did run into a problem with whipple to an extent. KB puts it out there and have no problems challenging anyone backing it up with facts. Whipple is a little difficult since most that answer the phone know very little about the blower and have to be redirected a few times and even then they question why you need that information lol In the end I think all the blowers will give a feeling of satisfaction. I only have experience with Whipple personally by installing and running them. I have driven the 2.9 (everyday on my car) 3.4 on brothers 08 that I did enjoy the power but rest of the ride sucks. 4.0 which is just crazy out of control until you get to 4th where things seem to make you think your in control. I have ran over two TVS cars and have one that has thrown everything at his and still getting ran over top of. I just can't see how the smaller blower is basically doing what the slightly larger blowers are doing so easily. Done with my rambling but I will say this. The TVS is a great starter blower and maybe capable of great numbers. I'm just wondering what is the purpose of having a 2.8 or 2.9 blower if the 2.3 does the exact same thing but better. When it makes the power the larger blowers do (which is wild) it brings the TQ with it. If you take what is written about the TVS then there is no reason for the larger blowers. The TVS is a great fit since it bolts on so quickly. Granted the whipple does require some work, which is fun to do and pretty easy.
