we ditched cable about 2 years ago. I was pretty hesitant and scared at first to be honest. I went and got a roku and never looked back and will never go back to cable. Our cable and internet bill was almost $200 a month. Roku has dozens of free movie and live TV apps. I added Hulu Live and get everything that I got on cable for a fraction of the cost. I also added netflix. I order things from Amazon all the time so I am always getting amazon prime video for free. You cant beat a roku. They are $35.00. Plug and play. It has a DVR service. It takes a few days to get used to how to navigate channels and such, but once you do, you'll never go back to cable. Remember how when Blockbuster video came out and was all the rage, then came the digital age and Blockbuster is now a relic and thing of the past? I see Cable as the same thing. It was unheard of in my area in the 80s. Now, they have priced themselves into antiquation. There are so many more affordable options to cable that soon, cable will go the way of blockbuster. If cable companies were smart, they would see this coming, and do something about it. Like make their rates compete with Netflix and Hulu Live. Cable will be dead in a decade.
