While you'll find a video blurb here and there, this is what kicked off hope, the article in R&T. What was said... R&T asked if "a manual was on the table." Widmann's response... R&T then stated that "a Ford spokesperson clarified that a manual for the GT500 is not planned currently, but it seems like if there is sufficient demand for three pedals, Ford Performance might very well make it a reality." This is the politics of the industry. Ford very well knew that some would be upset, hence this thread. Again, historically Ford has gone with one transmission offering in their top dog Mustang (since the '93 Cobra anyway, earlier models did have both). You didn't want to hear it before but it is the reality Ford is faced with. The DCT is without a doubt the most expensive transmission in a Mustang to date. Halving the order size to Tremec doesn't bode well with respective to unit costs. You can believe otherwise if that makes you feel better but that isn't how it works. Because here at SVTP we don't discriminate. Threads are all inclusive. As far as I'm concerned, I wanted a manual too. But as I intimated to you previously, I'm a big boy now and recognize when the fix is in and understand that complaining like a child that wants a new binky accomplishes little. If you were serious about this you'd be contacting Ford corporate and setting up a meeting with them. Have you tried that route yet? Better to not use absolutes or another straw man. You're learning. People bitched about not having an automatic available in the top dog Mustang since the 1993 Cobra. Ford listened (after a ~quarter century) with the 2020 GT500, it's history/fact. Good luck at your meeting.
