i finally used a claybar on my car. my buddy told me it needed it bad and he was right. the surface difference from before and after is unbelievable. the paint was pretty rough before from all of the $hit that normal washing doesn't take care of, and after just one time its pretty much smooth. i still need to go back and do a few spots that i forgot but for the most part am more than impressed. i used the meguiers system that comes with the claybar and bottle of quick detailer. i couldn't believe how much grime and $hit was actually on my car. you never really realize it when you wash it unless you rub your hand on the surface. i would highly recomend this to anyone that is thinking about it.

Try this trick. Take a plastic grocery bag, place your hand inside and lightly rub across the paint. You will feel stuff that your hand alone would never feel. Also a good test to see if you still need to clay an area some more.
