I took my truck for the first time today with some friends to the track. My friends have mustangs--an 05 GT, 1999 Cobra--I think and an 03 Cobra. I ran against all three and could beat the 05 and 99 mustangs, but couldn't out run the 03 Cobra. (I kind of figured that). I ran an 1/8 ET. I ran a 9.171 @ 76.27 MPH.It was 90 degrees outside. My truck is a 93 Lightning with Paxton supercharger 6PSI long tube mack headers and mass air and a chip. Timing set at stock setting. Is that about right with a truck with mods like this? And I was talking to a man at the track and he said to take off the front sway bar and the plate it is mounted to in front. He said this would take off some weight off the truck. Is that right?
Thanks for any response

Taking off the front sway bar, in theory is suppoosed to allow for better weight tranksfer. It works for some, and doesn't for others. I say give it a try the next time your at the track to see if it really makes a difference.
