I've grown tired of my steeda catback and decided to switch it up and grabbed a used Magnaflow. Originally I was going to just install it last weekend as is because it was only slightly brown, then I had the dumb idea of hitting it with a sander and 220 grit. The stainless immediately cleaned up and looked fresh again. I thought to myself this will only take an hour or two to look good again. Approximately 6 hours later and after hitting it with 80, 100, 150, 220, 320, 400, 600, 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit sand paper I was done. The Magnaflow is quieter than the Steeda which is what I wanted but still has a little drone, but I'm keeping it. I'm now I'm on the hunt for a set of SLP tips. I called SLP and they told me something about how they got new databases and some of the old parts aren't updated. They had the parts but didn't know the prices so they'd have to take my name down and email me later when their system got fixed. I know my boss would fire me if I told someone I couldn't sell them our product with out a computer. The most frustrating part of the whole deal is the first catback I ever had on my car was a used Magnaflow that came off my SB car. I spent a weekend polishing it then added SLP tips. I switched to a used Borla Stinger setup and I could hardly give the old Magnaflow away, the guy that bought it actually bought it to cut it up for a custom project. After the Stingers I bought the Steeda, and am now back full circle where I was years ago. Just out a little more money and a lot of labor sanding.
