I love driving my Taurus as my DD. I do not at all worry about driving. I certainly have a bit more attached to it sentimentally. resurrecting a car someone cast off as junk can do that. But if I get hit, dented or tapped... meh. lol Its definitely a great engine. New Motorcraft spark plugs torqued to 26 foot pounds and the plug blowout is gone. My truck has the updated rams horn style Y-pipe. The original y pipe was a restrictive POS, but this seems to be a lot more free flowing. I was considering adding the Banks headers until I saw that the Ram horn y pipe was on there. Diesels are bad ass but when they break they can get expensive, even the 7.3s. Think about all the motor homes, medium duty work trucks, tow trucks, commercial vehicles, Industrial generators, Super Duty's and Excursions that have the V10 in it. Its a proven engine. Thirsty, but a perfect gas option. It seriously MOVES a 7000 pound truck very well. You did very well sir. That's the early 4.0L generation of the LS 430 engine. Its listed as a 1UZ, but its got A LOT more in common with the 3UZ. Keep the oil changed regularly and use Toyota filters and she will last you a long time.
