[QUOTE="ANGREY, post: 15906386, member: 188865"] I was going to be a smartass and say "10w use your search function" but you get the point:) There's plenty of literature on this already. The camp essentially gets divided into 2 parts....the staunch "Motorcraft is what the engineers wanted/I'm afraid to change out the wiper blades because I'm convinced my car is some sort of appreciating collector's item/I don't want to void the warranty" In the other camp is the hardcore experienced racer types who invariably have their preferences/experiences with a particular brand. Amsoil, Mobil, Royal Purple are all names that get thrown around (in equivalent blends). There's a couple of very unique people that are bold enough to opt for an alternate blend/mixture as well. I don't think the prices between the different options are disparate enough to really venture off either way. I was considering using an alternate besides the motorcraft, but given the risk (even though I think it's small) of a warranty claim being denied, I decided it wasn't worth the tiny savings to go with anything other than the 5w-50 Motorcraft (with documented receipts for each proper interval change).
