I'm in the area for the next month for work and looking for something to get into during my off time. Any hang out spots car meets or people working on their cars. I'm just looking to hang out with some car guys doing car stuff while I'm here!

September 11, 2001 was the date of one of the greatest tragedies ever to occur on American Soil. For the tenth straight year, South Florida Mustang and Domestic Muscle Car owners will be reuniting to pay tribute for a cause. On September 13 2014, Stangs of South Florida (SSF), a local internet forum (www.stangsofsouthflorida.com) and club made up mostly of Ford Mustang enthusiasts will once again have a huge caravan to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. Once arrived we have a huge charity car show and fundraiser that will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, as the ultimate tribute to our nation’s heroes.
Benton Launerts, one of the organizers of the Patriot Day event and part owner of the internet forum says: “This event was started in honor of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy and was made to not only honor their existence, but raise money for their families. Since the original event was spawned eleven years ago, 9/11 has since been proclaimed by the US Government as Patriot Day and is now a day to honor those who have died serving our country as well as the victims of 9/11. “You should see how 250 cars look in a caravan all with American Flags blazing from their antennas; it is a sight to be seen!”
The event lasts two days and begins on Saturday September 13th at Tropical Park in Miami, Florida at 9am. From there the huge caravan escorted Law Enforcement members from the club, all the way down to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. This year we are being hosted by Robbie’s Restaurant and Marina where we host a muscle car and hot rod show, tribute ceremony complete with raffle drawings and then a very well-known after party. Attendees are strongly encouraged to stay over at the Chesapeake Resort which is our host hotel. We are expecting a huge turnout this year as Robbie’s has been promoting the event locally throughout the Florida Keys.

I'm in palm beach gardens and do a weekly small meet w some buddies at Carlin park in Jupiter on weekends. It's me (bolt on GT), a 1 of 8 gold S281 Saleen, a beat to shit 05 gt vert lol, and a 581 N/A 71 Challenger. We usually just meet up and shoot the shit in the beach parking lot for a while then go out for a little cruise to mess around.

But there are also quite a few weekly car shows around here, PM me if you're interested in any of them and i'll give you my number.
