I decided to buy one and I bought the only one Lowes had, it was the 7336SP but after reading alot about the use of a porter cable all I see mentioned is the 7424? Is the 7424 a nicer polisher or whats the difference? I havent used the 7336 yet so I can still take it back and get a 7424 if it will make a difference. Thanks 2881

The 7336 is perfectly fine my buddy bought that one.... the only difference I could tell was that the 7336 doesn't come with a proper backing plate and it came with sand paper. You'll need to get a 5" inch backing plate and you'll be good to go

The 7424 and 7336 are the same machine. The 7424 comes with a 5" counterweight. The 7336SP comes with a 6 inch counterweight, 6" backing plate for sandpaper and a foam pad. With either model, you will need a five or six inch backing plate to mount the additional foam pads you will be purchasing.
