I have two sets of pistons. I have identified the piston and rod on the top as a 87-92 H.O. TRW Forged piston and matching rod. I need to know what the piston on the bottom of the photo is.
Piston on top is 87-92 Stock H.O. Forged TRW. (E7ZE-6110-CA)
Piston on bottom is unknown. (no part #)
As you can see they are different. Hopefully someone here knows. I suspect the unknown piston is a Hypereutectic out of a 93 Cobra, and the part number on the rods come back to a 5.0 Explorer(F2TE-BA-AQ51). Did the 93 Cobra and Explorer 5.0 share a part number? Are the rods that came with Hypereutectic pistons different than what came with Forged?
