Hey guys, Im thinking of going with some 4.10's very soon, so i have some differential questions.... The popular thing to do with the ole trusty 5.0's with the 8.8 solid was to get a 31 spline ford truck diff, rebuild the differential(replace clutch packs and add an additional one on each side). This worked great cause it was forever rebuildable, cheap and very very strong, plus it was 31 spline for stronger axles. Now, the IRS cobras are already 31 spline, so who is sticking with the stock diff and just rebuilding it? Im thinking this will be my route.. Eaton diffs are cool, but its still a clutch style diff, so why spend all the money for it. Plus ive heard of some fast 8.8 cars explodeing the diff in the past.. Ive had an auburn diff in the past as well, that was real nice, but its still alot more $$$ Thanks for any insight, i tried the search but damn its tough to find what u want...
