Why did Ford eliminate the 1st to 4th skip-shift feature in 2013 on 5.0s?

Im curious, does anyone know why Ford eliminate the manual transmission 1st to 4th skip-shift feature in 2013 on the 5.0s? Was it due to the high number of general problems people were having with the transmission unrelated to the feature and they decided to get rid of it just to help the future perception of the transmission? Or was this done because the feature puts a lot of stress on the already crap quality transmission?

Too many complaints must have been a huge reason. When I buy a manual, I want to be in control of what gear I am in. The MT-82 is bad enough on its own, it does not need help. Mine is being replaced Monday hopefully.

You can still do it. But being forces to shift a certain way... If I wanted that I would have bought an auto.
