A little history about my car and i is that a few years ago when doing WOT high speed runs i caused damage to the engine that made it undruveable ( no crank no start ) so i have not driven the car for several years and would like to prevent having it down in the future again. I still am not sure what caused the damage, might have been a failing Alternator and caused a lean condition, or possibly heated up the pistons and caused swelling and so forth. So i was able to get my hands on a ford reman engine and will be swapping that in along with some other goodies such as clutch and bolt ons. I did not amd still do not have any aftermarket guages to be able to monitor how the car is running. I had the car tuned by a reputable local tuner on a dyno, the car is tuned with a SCTX2, since i am getting close to the point of having everything i want to have the swap done i just thought a newer programmer would have its benefits over the X2. I am in cali but not worried about passing emissions as I have a way around that. The car will have a new engine (reman) long tube headers, off road h pipe and cat back exhaust, gen 5 whipple and e85 with a fore fuel system. The engine currently innthe car will be taken out and i have it rebuilt with higher compression pistons and cams in the future. So my concerns are for when i get everything swapped/ installed, i will have it towed to the dyno amd when getting it tuned ( if using a newer programmer like the x4) would my tuner have a issues when on the dyno a.nd tuning because of the lack of emissions parameters these new programmers are able to adjust. I hope that made sense, as I just woke up and am half asleep still hahaha

[QUOTE="NoLimitRacing, post: 16854441, member: 192972"] Thanks for sharing your experience and taking the time to reply, my reason for wanting the widebands is for just for monitoring the engines health, to prevent any damage to the engine when running be it either at the track or on tne street. A little history about my car and i is that a few years ago when doing WOT high speed runs i caused damage to the engine that made it undruveable ( no crank no start ) so i have not driven the car for several years and would like to prevent having it down in the future again.
