My brother-in-law has always wanted a project of his own. My sister has her fox but he's never had anything to call "his own". Well all that changed when someone offered him a $1,000 "total loss" lightning that was at a tow-company. The guy never claimed it so it got sold. There was blood coming out of the passenger door key-hole, the interior was a mess. The truck had a few thousand miles on the clock. Everything was bone stock and showed no signs of modification down to the paper filter!! He lucked out. Many were skeptical but he's got some patience and some pretty crazy skills. Seeing this makes me feel that much better about my car. He was the one who put everything back in and tuned it after the "big fiasco" at the local dyno. He took everything he could out and placed it in his F150. Tranny, Rear, suspension, Engine and Interior (including main wiring harness & instrument cluster!!). Talk about dedication Enough yappin', I give you "FRANKEN-LIGHTNING": The donor 01 Lightning: The recipient F150: And the vid: Hats off to my bro-in-law. It's been a long road, but he's finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel! Just needs exhaust, fan shroud and a good tune. He's already got a 6lb lower but he's going to run it like this til he gets the chance to tune it right.
