Let me tell you my hole ordeal to save you some time..
You must have the cluster programmed for your car. I just went through this entire ordeal, and it sucks as the dealer cannot do it. It has to be sent to Ford and back to you.
The trick is the GT500 cluster has to be reprogrammed not only for your VIN but it has to be loaded with the GT programming or it you will get all kinds of issues. I would put the car in reverse, the dash warning lights would go on for example.
I got mine at Team Ford – A Las Vegas, Bullhead City, Henderson and St. George Ford dealer in Nevada. About $600 without exchange as you have to buy it outright.
I have the cluster from my 08 it has 1000k miles on it, you can have it ford $100.
