got my EGR block plate today... i just deleted my EGR valve... made the engine bay cleaner without the rusty EGR..made sparkplug changes easier.. followed chiz instructions which isnt very good, cause i dont know which vac lines to pull.? help me CHIZ... but everything else went good...

went into predator-turned EGR off.. no codes..

I vaguely remember this mod being discussed a while back...
What's the benefit(s) of deleting the EGR? Inquiring minds want to know.

EGR valve runs to the exahust.. so heat build up from there runs into the plenum.. so by taking the EGR valve off, will keep the intake aircharge cooler .. and easier to change sparkplugs, make engine bay have a cleaner look..

I am thinking about doing this also. Does anyone know if I can turn the EGR off if I am using a SCT 4 Bank Chip? Should I just take it to my tuner and have him turn it off?

Thomas.. its an easy mod to do..! i went into my predator and turned the EGR valve off..

If you have a chip you will have to have it reburned on all four sides to keep the CEL off.

drove my truck today to and from work and my truck feels like it has more HP from deleteing the EGR... feels stronger!! i love my baby!!
