Everyone needs to go and get the April issue of MM&FF. On page 142 is the SVT concept Ranger with a Lightning drivetrain stuffed into it!!!!

Just wanted to let you all know about it

Here are some more specs from the article. I will try to scan it for posting

Vehicle: Ford Ranger Standard
Cab Color: Sonic Blue
Engine: 2002 Ford Lightning 5.3L SC
Tranny: 4R100
Rear Axle: Lightning 9.25-inches, narrowed 10.75 inches, 3.73 gears
Wheels Front: Stock Lightning wheels narrowed to 8 inches
Wheels Rear: Stock Lightning wheels widened to 12.5 inches
Tires: Michelin Pilot, 235/40/18 front, 345/35/18 rear
Weight: 3,800 lbs
Performance: 13.6 @ 108 mph

The only non-stock Ford part they used were some one-off 3-inch headers, custom steering linkage and some other doodads...

They are calling it the "Lightning Bolt"

Yeah well, they have to make something that they can tease us with. They can't produce every cool/trippy vehicle they make, although sometimes it would be nice.

and the fact that they had to widen the rear wheels and narrow the fronts

Saw it on speedvision -

the truck hooked up -

And well -

It's an SVT lightning's little brother - and truly deserves that title.

Maybe, just maybe with a 3.1 60'!:nonono:
