2.81 vs 2.93

i need some quick little help.....i have a 2.93 i dug up and im curious if i will see a noticeable difference from a 2.8 to a 2.93??

how much boost difference is it between the two pulleys?? and does the 2.8 give you a gain you will notice compared to a 2.93??

my buddys car with a 2.8 screams and i want my car to scream as well.....and im not sure if the 2.93 is going to give me that scream and the power goal im looking for.

any help is great! thanks guys

I went from 3.0 to 2.76 and noticed the difference definitely, however i have heard that on an unported blower there is only like 1 - 2 lb gain in boost.

I had a 2.8 and now have a 2.93, they didn't really sound any different that I could tell. Here is a vid of my 2.93

Well I got a stock lightning pulley and that's a 2.93 to my knowledge so I was gonna try it out or should I just buy the 2.8?

a stock lightning pulley is a 2.93 correct? and it will scream like the vid posted wouldnt it?

The difference between a 2.80 and a 2.93 is minimal. It's going to be about a .70 difference in boost levels. A pound of boost with an Eaton car is about 8-10 RWHP, so you're looking at at 6-7 horsepower difference maximal. At the 450-500 horsepower level, you will NEVER be able to tell...........

This is true, I could not tell a difference going from a 2.8 to the 2.93.

If you're concerned about the 'scream' of the blower, then put a 10" filter on there and take off the filter shroud if you have one on there. That made my blower scream.

Thanks for the replies guys . So a 2.93 and a 2.8 are just about the same. But a 2.76 will give me power I will feel over a 2.93 . Ill try the 2.93 then go to a 2.76

i have a filter on the stock intake system and my S/C now screams slightly. Im guessing a hard pipe will make it even louder.

thanks for the replies guys, im going to put on the 2.93 and tune it next week and see what i can get out of it. I wanna do the maximun right before i need to change the injectors and fuel pumps, etc.

so im thinking 2.76 will get me that goal with all other bolt ons.

If the 2.93 is that close to a 2.81 and if you guys saay i wont feel a power differnce until i port my eaton, then ill throw it on with a good tune and see what happens.

i cant wait to really have this eaton scream haha
