:dancenana:I got the new Reservoirs from Van today. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The craftsmanship is amazing. Van asked if i would work with him on the tanks and sent them overnight to test fit on a stock engine cause his is modded with a Kenne Bell. He is making a small kit to go with the tanks so that you do not have to cut any hoses.

Thanks for posting up slowponycar!

I asked slowponycar to work with me on the first kit installation as "an average Joe" install. Trying not to make it difficult and use the Keep It Simple method.

No hoses were cut but I do need to add a small parts kit to the reservoirs.

- One Tie Strap
- One Screw Protector
- Two Hose clamps

If you ordered bare aluminum reservoirs they are shipping out tomorrow and you might even receive tracking information later this evening.

If you ordered reservoirs powder coated they shipped to powder coating today and they will ship as soon as they are done. Possibly an extra two weeks hopefully sooner.

Awesome!

I cant wait, the best visual upgrade for the engine compartment IMO (other than a big ass polished Kenne Bell lol). I have the same caps in blue/carbon, should look good.

Slowponycar,

Any tips on the install you would like to share or as easy as it looks? Will we need extra coolant to fill the tanks (larger capicity)?

Im going to write a Tech on it with pics sometime tomorrow. Yes you will need extra coolant. I used distilled water in both of mine to top off. Left about 1/2 gap from the top for expansion of fluids.

Van, do these have a petcock so a person can ice it down and drain it?

No. These do not have the fuel cell style cap for drag racing so we didn't do the valve.

These are mostly for aesthetics.

In previous years we had to cut hoses to get reservoirs to fit.

This new design does not require any hose cutting whatsoever.

Do you have to drain the whole cooling system of just the two reservoirs you are changing out?

Are the caps from the old reservoirs a direct swap? I have the fancy caps too that I would like to use.

How long did it take?

Just the two reservoirs and then cork off the lines leading to them to prevent coolant from spilling.

Caps are a direct swap and you can use your aftermarket caps as well.

It usually takes about an hour to install. Pretty simple and straight forward.

Awesome. These will be going to the top of my mod list.

Why are the 2012 more expensive than the 13-14's?

The other models are available with a Shelby Logo. At this time these are not available with a Shelby Logo. If you remove the Shelby logo on the 2011 - 2012 GT500 Reservoirs on the web page they are $550.00 without a logo.

Same as these.
